A seasoned data analyst and computer engineer, I seamlessly blend academic depth with practical industry insights. My expertise spans Machine Learning, Computational Intelligence, Big Data, and Algorithmic Robotics, navigating the intricate intersection of theory and real-world applications.

About Me

❝In the ever-evolving landscape of technology, each step is an adventure. Unaware of our destination, we navigate the path, embracing the unknown, getting lost, and eagerly anticipating the miracles that unfold along the journey.❞

In the realm of data for over 6 years, I am Khandker Qaiduzzaman—an adept professional currently residing in Flushing, NY. My expertise spans data pre-processing, statistical modeling, machine learning, time series analysis, and optimization algorithms.

Technical Proficiency

My toolkit encompasses proficiency in Python, R, Java, Tableau, SQL, MS Excel, and various statistical packages. My familiarity extends to data science tools like Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, Google Colab, IBM Watson Studio, and Tableau Prep Builder.

Professional Trajectory

In my current role at Equal Public Benefit Corporation in San Francisco, I meticulously manage data quality, overseeing the insertion, deletion, and cleaning of petition data.

Previously, at Decathlon Logistics Center in Dortmund, Germany, I orchestrated inventory management and forecasting, employing a data-driven approach inclusive of time series analysis and statistical modeling. My initiatives, such as automated inventory loss detection, contributed to a substantial weekly recovery.

Academically, my tenure as a Lecturer at Daffodil International University (DIU), Dhaka, Bangladesh, involved not only instructing 1200+ students but also leading notable research projects. From comparative analyses of classification algorithms to pioneering hybrid feature selection for health data mining, my contributions garnered recognition, including a Gold Award at I-ENVEX 2018 in Malaysia.

At The Millennium University (TMU), Dhaka, I continued my academic pursuits, teaching and conducting research in AI and Data Science. Projects such as evaluating heuristics in path planning for mobile robots and meteorological prediction of Sundarbans exemplify my commitment to rigorous research.

Educational Background

I earned my Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University, Bangladesh, in 2015. In addition to practical experience, I hold certifications in Google IT Automation with Python and IBM Data Science.

Project

Some of my projects are listed below. Please click on the project title for the details of the project.

This project is conducted as part of my undergraduate thesis work. An environment were designed that includes static, dynamic and uncertain obstacles. Several algorithms were implemented in this project to navigate a mobile robot through this environment.

The objective of this project is to design a mutation triggering method by combining three mutation operators (Swap, Insertion and 2-Opt) and applying adaptive probability. To decide which mutation will be activated at a given generation, a decision-making method named Mutation Triggering Method is designed. To measure the performance, the classical traveling salesman problem was considered.

In this project, I have visualized the New York City AirBnB data in a Tableau dashboard. The dataset was downloaded from Kaggle. Before implementing the dashboard, I have created separate sheets involving different dimensions and measures. I will discuss each sheet thoroughly with some insights step by step.
